Japanese White Sauce

Japanese White SauceThis is also called Japanese Shrimp sauce. Serve with tempura shrimp or chicken, sushi and rice.

Ingredients:

  • 1-1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • dash cayenne pepper

Directions:

  1. In a small bowl combine all ingredients thoroughly until well blended and the sauce is smooth. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  2. Serve at room temperature.
