Japanese White Sauce
This is also called Japanese Shrimp sauce. Serve with tempura shrimp or chicken, sushi and rice.
Ingredients:
- 1-1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- 1 teaspoon tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- dash cayenne pepper
Directions:
- In a small bowl combine all ingredients thoroughly until well blended and the sauce is smooth. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Serve at room temperature.
