Simply Roasted Green Beans

1Another recipe from our simply recipes that is very good with just a few ingredients.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 lbs green beans
  • 2 tbs olive oil
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper, freshly ground

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Lay green beans in a single layer on a baking/cookie sheet pan.
  3. Sprinkle oil over the green beans and roll them in the oil until coated.
  4. Season with salt and pepper as desired.
  5. Bake in preheated 425 degree oven for 12 minutes or until tender. They should be fork tender but still have a little crunch to them.

- Variations:

- Use garlic salt instead of kosher salt.

- Sprinkle slivers of garlic over green beans before roasting.

- Sprinkle sesame seeds over green beans before roasting.
